To celebrate National Poetry Day INCWriters bring award winning poets to Lancashire. The theme is the sea: from the Medieval belief that the ocean flowed into the night sky, to the myths of Atlantis vanishing beneath the ocean, to the songs of lost mariners to the single soul cast adrift. Amnesty award winning Poet, Pat Borthwick, John Masefield Winner, Ian Parks and Milner Place explore the literal and metaphorical representations of 'the sea' and delve into the stars and the surf, tackling themes bigger than the single human heart. The event is part of The Sea Tour (16th March - 8th November 2006). A Q&A session will take place at 1.15PM.
