Reading and fun activities for families.

Merseyside Polonia, a non-profit organisation based in Liverpool has launched a Book Club which aims to promote Polish and British stories for children and have great fun with reading.

After a series of successful sessions Merseyside Polonia invites everyone for a final one on Sunday 25th of May 11.00am-12.30pm, at the Central Library in The Discover area, which has been transformed into a stunning, imaginative environment for children of all ages to discover a variety of story and information books.

During sessions, children will have an opportunity to listen, engage in a story time in two languages Polish and English and participate in creative craft activities.

This event is created for children, their parents and carers to participate in story reading, role-playing, songs and craft activities. Every child who does not already have a library card will be able to register, receive a card and borrow books to enjoy their reading adventure at home.

The Merseyside Polonia initiative for children and families is funded by BBC Children in Need and supported by Liverpool City Council. Merseyside Polonia believes that by creating a community motivated to read to children we can improve their bilingual skills. The event would be a great opportunity to find out about Polish book collections in Liverpool Libraries.

The event is free of charge.
Venue: Central Library, William Brown St, Liverpool, Merseyside, L3 8EW
