‘Alan Bennett would have enjoyed it’ – former Cheshire Poet Laureate Joy Winkler’s innovative verse/drama TOWN is the tale of a daughter's quest, helped by a stranger and the magic of a town’s annual festival. Dragons on bicycles, devils playing guitars and ‘a bit of magic after all these years’ are only part of the glittering backdrop. With live accompaniment by Andrew Rudd, another former Cheshire Poet Laureate. TOWN's final performance of its Spring Tour is 'A summer evening of Poetry, Performance and Music' hosted by Friends of Chester Literature Festival.
