IMPress was established in Manchester in 2000 to publish original fiction, with the aim of releasing one or two titles a year, selected from established authors who cannot easily find a niche in the competitive context of commercial publishing. IMPress does not expect to be profit making and will use income from book sales towards publishing its next book. IMPress is an artistic endeavour, rather than a commercial one, and is concerned that the writer should have some control over how the book looks and be able to work with the artist in achieving something original which also looks good. At the moment IMPress is not soliciting manuscripts.
