One hundred years after the start of the First World War, we will read and think about a few of the poems and a little of the prose that emerged from that terrible conflict, all of which try to capture the common effort of the ordinary soldier to endure the unendurable. Led by Angela Macmillan, editor of The Reader magazine and the A Little, Aloud anthologies.
