Vet turned author, M C Scott, the popular writer of a series of novels about Boudica has turned to Ancient Rome in her latest book, which combines espionage, ancient manuscripts and an apocalyptic fire.
In contrast, Lesley Downer recreates the hidden world of the Japanese geisha, where elegant rituals conceal a much darker world of intrigue and danger. The author, whose great passion is Japan, gives us exotic locations, lives torn apart by adversity and heart stopping romance.
