Ideas of ‘Britishness’ have changed and developed over the past half-century as the UK has become a multicultural society, and this is reflected in the work of many of the country's best writers. At this event Martin Amis will be joined by Manchester-born writer Howard Jacobson, for a discussion of how the novel represents or misrepresents the British nation. This reading will be followed by a Q & A session. Martin Amis Public Events are presented by the University of Manchester's Centre for New Writing.
As these events are very popular, we recommend using Quay Tickets' dedicated booking service on www.quaytickets.com or 0870 428 0785.
