Mucusart Press aims to ‘provide a voice and forum for stranded bards’ whilst not discriminating between the written and the spoken word. Mucusart explores the synergy between both through its monthly performance poetry nights in Manchester, Per Verse, its magazine The Ugly Tree (three times a year), and its occasional single-poet pamphlet. The Ugly Tree (edited by Paul Neads and Conor A, ISSN 1478 8349) features poetry, reviews and interviews, and the poetry is of no set theme or genre.
