John Banville was born in Wexford, Ireland, in 1945. He is the author of twelve novels, including The Book of Evidence, which was short-listed for the 1989 Booker Prize, The Untouchable, and Eclipse. John Banville's novel The Sea was awarded the 2005 Man Booker Prize. The reading will be followed by a Q&A led by Dr Liam Harte. Free to The University of Manchester staff/students.
