A rhyme'n'roll night bringing you live poetry, rock'n'roll, open mic, DJs, fanzines and plenty of red wine. Entry price is a donation of your choice, but £3 is suggested. The usual hipsters and rebels will be stepping up to the open mic, plus readings from local poets including Eleanor Rees, whose work rings with fire, earth and forests, skin, hair and bones, terraced streets, city parks, stars and shadows. Plus Tom George: poet, slacker punk, shunning the nine-to-five, half smiles, tongue-in-cheek, heart-on-sleeve, foot-in-mouth, hand-on-heart. And Helen Tookey whose imagination, fractures and tensions in human experiences from the school playground to the mountains of post-earthquake Pakistan.
Plus playing live: Billy Ruffian - Lou Reed fronting The Fall powered by a drum machine.
