Sefton Celebrates Writing Festival 2009 - An Audience with Alexei Sayle

Liverpool born Alexei Sayle is a comedian, actor, presenter and writer, who has single-handedly breathed new life into the short story and has penned multiple best selling novels; including The Dog Catcher (July 2001), Overtaken (2003), The Weeping Women Hotel (2007) and his most recent book Mister Roberts (2008), to which he says "buy this book it will change your life (probably for the better!)".

He will be reading selected passages from his work, telling anecdotes from his extraordinary life and answering questions from the audience about anything from show business to Marxism, to stubborn stain removal!
