Lauren Bolger was born in Manchester 1988. She studied English at MMU where she became co-editor of literary zine Unsung before founding creative fusion night Paradox with the intent of providing network for experimental writers and noise musicians. She studied an MA in Creative Writing at Keele University where Lauren was awarded The Roy Fisher Prize for poetry, and a pamphlet of her work containing poems from her dissertation was published. She recently began a PhD in Creative Writing with English exploring different poetic movements. Her critical/creative process is intrigued by writerly coherency, mutism, secrecy and confession; informed by what is told and left untold by the writer. Lauren performs poems in an improv band with her boyfriend called Locean and plays drums/co-writes songs in the band Se/a.m.a.n.
