James Higgerson was born in the West Midlands in 1982 and currently lives in Manchester. He has contributed to the anthologies 'Litmus: Short Stories From Modern Science' (Comma, 2011) and 'Still' (2012). James was awarded second place in the 2008 Luke Bitmead Bursary Award. He has co-run the writing projects 'The Industry of Guilt' and 'Bad Marmalade’ and reviewed gigs and CDs for the music website Whisperin' and Hollerin'. He is currently finishing a PhD in European Urban Health at The University of Manchester. James’ debut novel 'The Almost Lizard' was published March 2013.
