Paul Hurley is a full-time freelance writer and author. He retired from the Police Force in February 2002 at the age of 55years. During his time in the force he served as an undercover officer on the Regional Crime Squad and set up the present Cheshire Police Paedophile Squad. Prior to joining the Police he served 11 years in the Royal Navy seeing active service in Borneo at the age of 17. He lives in Winsford, Cheshire. 

Paul is the author of the 'Through Time' series, a range of historical, photographic non-fiction books published by Amberley Publishing. His autobiography (forthcoming) is Can I Come in Now, Sarge?
