Jane has published both poetry and prose. In 2005, she was awarded a Royal Literary Fund Bursary to work on her first novel, which she produced only with much gritting of teeth.
She is a member of NAWE and runs workshops with reception and infant children in schools, and with adults for the WEA and the Continuing Education Department at Lancaster University. Her specialism is in writing for children.
