The School on the Puddydale, 1909 - 1982

For seventy three years the school on Dale Avenue was the source of education for many of the boys and girls of Heswall. Sadly it is no more and in its place are Red Dale flats. In the community there are still many of those children with happy memories of the school with the bell on its roof. As a teacher for almost thirty years, first at the Puddydale and now at the 'new' Heswall County Primary School, the author felt that these memories should be recorded - hence the book.

Whilst doing her research, she met many interesting people, each with their own stories.
