The one hundred and fifty year history of the "Liverpool Voluntary Society for the Blind".
The history of Liverpool Voluntary Society for the Blind (LVSB) and its important work in the City has been thought about by many and at last we are delighted that Margaret Guppy has taken on the challenge to look through the archives and pull together the main events that have shaped LVSB into the organisation that it is today. A lot can be learned from the history to help us plan the future and in fact our predecessors who took on the challenge of establishing services for blind people throughout the city who faced the same issues that we do today.
