Wayne Clews was born in Congleton, Cheshire and studied history at Lancaster University. After graduating he moved to Manchester where he gained an MA in Novel Writing from Manchester University. He has worked in various bookshops and theatres in the city and as a freelance writer. He was a contributing editor for many years at City Life magazine and is currently literary editor of Attitude magazine. His work has also appeared in the Guardian, Metro and Gay Times. He currently runs his own website www.sexandselfpity.co.uk and writes darkly comic fiction.
