Clare Pollard wrote most of her first collection of poetry, The Heavy-Petting Zoo (Bloodaxe, 1998) whilst still at school. She has since published two more collections: Bedtime (Bloodaxe, 2002), and Look, Clare! Look! (Bloodaxe, 2005). Her first play The Weather (Faber, 2004) premiered at The Royal Court Theatre, and she is working on a new commission for them, The Zoo-Keeper's Wife. Clare is Managing Editor of The Idler, and Editor of the poetry journal Reactions.
